The Nebraska Cooperative Council is a statewide, non-profit, non-partisan trade association representing agricultural cooperatives.
Established in 1945, as a full-service trade association, the Council has been instrumental in advancing cooperative businesses throughout Nebraska. Today, over 90% of the state’s agricultural cooperatives are members, along with rural electric and telephone cooperatives, financial services cooperatives, regional cooperatives, and those providing insurance, livestock marketing, communications, and consumer goods. Membership also includes auditing firms and other organizations that serve cooperatives. Together, the agricultural cooperative members generate nearly $9 billion in economic activity annually.
